dc.description.abstractThis research aims to prove that the Infomal formative assessment as monitoring process can improve the reading comprehension of an 11th grade class. The assumption of this research is that applying this follow might have some positiveup process effects on the reading comprehension skill of the 11th grade class that was exposed in comparison to the other group which has not received the monitoring process in Complejo Educacional Consolidada de Puente Alto. At the end of this study, it is possibl e to stablish that certain monitoring tasks had enhanced the students’ learning, increasing their average score in comparison with control group. Despite this, it is important to mention than even when the effects had been positive in this study, a longer investigation or research is needed in order to determine in depth the effectiveness of this assessment.
